ASAB S Series - Replacement S8 Ball Seat #27

The S8 Ball Seat is a precision sealing component in the ASAB S8 pump’s check valve system. It provides the correct sealing surface for the check ball, allowing the pump to prime efficiently, build pressure quickly, and hold pressure steadily during spraying.

When the ball seat becomes worn, pitted, scored, or contaminated, the ball can’t seal cleanly—often showing up as slow priming, pressure pulsing, poor pressure hold, or material bypass/backflow. Replacing the seat restores proper sealing and helps return the sprayer to stable, consistent performance.

Safety Check

• Relieve all fluid pressure before opening any part of the fluid section (follow the sprayer’s pressure relief procedure).

• Isolate power (unplug/disconnect) before servicing the pump.

• Wear PPE: safety glasses and chemical-resistant gloves—especially during flushing and solvent exposure.

• Injection hazard: never check for leaks with your hand; high-pressure fluid can penetrate skin.

• Restart carefully: prime at low pressure first, confirm proper sealing and no leaks, then return to normal operating pressure.
